This exhibition explores how a current generation of contemporary artists are employing quilt traditions and techniques to make social, political and personal commentary. These textile-based sculptures presented on the wall and floor exemplify the ways in which thirteen selected American artists mine the historic meaning, techniques and processes of traditional quilt making.
